In 2005, Dr. Elif Betül Türkoğlu, who graduated as the first in the university, received a high score in the TUS exam and started her specialty training at Ankara Hospital Eye Hospital. After 2010, she worked in Sakarya University Training and Research Hospital Eye Aesthetics department. In 2014, she started to work as an Assistant Professor at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine Eye Hospital. He focused his studies on eye cancers and worked as a Dr. at the Wills Eye Institute Ocular Oncology unit in the USA between 2015-2016. She completed her master's degree under the supervision of Carol Shields. He received the title of Associate Professor in March 2017. In 2019, he participated as an observer in the Tokyo National Cancer Centre, which applied intraarterial chemotherapy treatment for retinoblastoma for the first time in the world. In November 2022, he became a Professor and focused his research on adult and paediatric ocular oncology, oculoplasty, cataract surgery and refractive visual defects. He has published over 150 scientific studies and numerous articles in international and national journals.
